Let me try to explain this comic to people who may not be familiar with the woes of art gallery sites. There's a specific site called furaffinity, which is geared towards furries and furry art, fans of furry art. There are A LOT of good artists on there, and a lot of people are embarrassed to be on the site because there's also a lot of questionable adult art and weird porn. Others feel that their peers finding out that they post there will ruin their future career. I don't know how true that it is, but I've had nothing but good experiences on furaffinity so far. I've had a place to post my art where people actually look at it and comment, I've met awesome artists and cool people.
This particular comic is sort of jabbing at someone who took the site way too seriously and lost their way. Originally, they were in it for the love of drawing. They gained popularity very quickly because of their satirical "troll" art and then sort of became wrapped up in the drama and attracted a group of dramahounds I suppose, eventually leaving all together. The thing with furaffinity is that its coded poorly, so once you open an account, you can NEVER close it. It's always there, so all 6 of this person's accounts are still there. I just remember him commenting somewhere that he regretted joining the site in the first place, which i thought was ironic since he had opened 6 or 7 accounts for himself in the year he had been there.
People really over analyze furaffinity, the fact is its a free site, it's a great place to put art up, and unlike deviantart, people will actually look at your stuff. Even if you're not a "furry"! Joining furaffinity does not put giant red F over your lapel, it doesn't mean you commit to fucking dogs are dressing up in fursuits, it's just an art site! www.furaffinity.net/user/scurrow
